How Hanan Retained 100% of Team Members in 2021

Dedicated and engaged employees are the cornerstone of any great business; they certainly are at Hanan! It’s a positive, family-like environment where the team’s needs are taken seriously. This is how we’ve been able to retain all our employees this past year – despite the “Great Resignation.”

Not long ago, we purchased a giant robotic arm, which we named “Hugo,” to divert some of the “heavy lifting” off employees and onto our new robot. Team members are now able to perform higher level jobs – ones that are less strenuous and that employees enjoy. This enables us to learn each individual’s unique skills and help them realize their potential.

Another way to retain staff is listening to and appreciating them. Our Compliance Officer, Margie, says, “What I like about working with Hanan is working with people who make you feel appreciated and acknowledged, which are just some of the reasons I enjoy going to work. A workplace that values and actively seeks your input and suggestions, makes you feel respected as an employee. I can see why there are many loyal and long-term employees at Hanan Products and I hope to be one of them!”

Did you know that many of our employees are with us for decades?

Debby, our office manager says, “I was hired by Hanan Products to update the computer system and train the office staff on its use, with the understanding the job would take one to two years. Thirty years later and I’m still here! What else can I say about Hanan Products that 30 years does not say. You will not find a friendlier working environment. The Hanan family has always appreciated the fact that each employee is an individual, treated each employee as a family member, and helped in situations whenever possible whether personal or work-related. Needless to say, this consideration flows over to Hanan’s customers as well. It is heartwarming to see that “real” customer service still exists in this impersonal, computerized world.”

At Hanan, we always make sure our employees (and customers) feel appreciated. We view our team as an extension of our family – and care about them in ways that demonstrate this.

Despite the advanced technology and automation, we’re regularly introducing at our plant, we’re not replacing people with it. In fact, we just hired two new team members. In 2022, we look forward to continued growth and to, once again, retaining our highly valued team!
